Our farm is situated 3 km north of Tolaga Bay on the East Coast of the North Island, New Zealand.
Located 45km north of Gisborne on the coastal highway that travels around the East Cape to the Bay of Plenty.
Papatahi Suffolks have 30 years of SIL performance recording with emphasis on fast lamb growth rates and high meat yields.
Our Suffolks are well suited to the demanding requirements of our East Coast environment.
Over 300 Suffolk ewes are mated each year.
Our Rams are well proven in the field and the majority of our clients are repeat business. Ram buyers are well satisfied with the Papatahi Rams and their ability to produce lambs that suit the current lamb meat markets.
Papatahi is a coastal livestock and mixed cropping farm. As well as the Suffolks we run a commercial flock of eczema tolerant Coopworths. Extra lambs and cattle are also bought in for finishing.
Maize, sweetcorn and squash are grown in our cropping operation.
A citrus orchard of Mandarins and Navel Oranges adds diversity to the farm.
